Glama Gal Kids Spa Ajax offers a variety of virtual and in-studio activities for both girls and boys, including: 

- Birthday parties

- Spa appointments (one-on-one or for small groups)

- Day camps (summer, Spring break, winter break, PA Days etc.)

- Special themed events for kids (Valentines Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, NYE etc.)

- Kids empowerment, mindfulness and team building workshops for schools, sports teams and private groups

- Art classes and paint nights  

NO! We do so much more than just manicures, pedicures and facials. We offer a variety of crafts such as slime making, bath bomb making, art classes, jewelry making, DIY fidgets, cupcake and cookie decorating, chocolate making etc.

We play a variety of interactive games to keep our parties and events interactive and engaging. 

We offer basic spa services for children:

- Manicures

- Pedicures

- Dessert scented face mask application

- Glitter tattoos

- Temporary hair colour

Yes. If you are looking to book an appointment for just one child or a small group of kids, take a look at our spa packages. Our spa packages are created for individual or small group appointments. If you have more than 6 kids, please take a look at our birthday party packages. 

We have services for girls and boys from as young as 2 years old. There are special packages that we have created for kids who are very young. For kids below 4 years in age we recommend looking at packages that have a mini manicure/pedicure, rather than our full mani pedi. And also those with simpler crafts. 

You can book all our services online or over the phone at 905-239-4443. If you don’t get anyone on the phone, please leave a voicemail and we’ll get back to you within 24 hours.  

Our spa packages range from 30min - 1.5 hours depending on the package and the number of guests. The duration is mentioned in each package description. 

**IMPORTANT** When you book a spa appointment with us, our booking system will automatically book your appointment for a specific period of time. However, if you have more than 3 kids, we may need extra time to complete the service and will contact you to update the duration of your appointment.  

Our in-studio parties are 2 hours long. And our virtual parties range from 1-1.5 hours depending on the package selected. Durations are specified in the package description.

We do not have any trained estheticians on staff. We specialize in child-friendly services, with all our staff  being trained to work with kids only.  However, if you would like to get spa services done alongside your child(ren) for a special 'mommy and me' bonding experience at the spa, we can definitely do your nails for you. But please be aware that it will be a regular staff who does your nails and it will not be the same quality as an adult nail salon as they are only trained to work on kids. We accommodate adult services, if required, so that parents can participate in the appointment and be immersed in the unique experience that our facility brings, as well as to spend quality bonding time with their kids.

Yes. All our birthday parties and in-studio special events are drop off only (except the birthday girl/boys family who are welcome to stay). 

If you have booked a one one one appointment or a small group appointment, you are more than welcome to drop your child off and come back at the end of the appointment, as long as there are no allergies or medical issues. We always recommend that one parent/guardian remain on site.   

Yes. We have a wide variety of merchandise available for purchase both online and in store. We also have gift cards available for purchase.

Glama Gal Kids Spa Ajax opened in 2011, making us officially 10 years old!

Our staff have a wide variety of skills and experience working with kids. Our owner is a mom to a six year old. Our manager is in Teachers College, was a kids dance teacher for 3 years and a kids camp counsellor for 1 year. She also worked as a Program Activity Leader at the Boys and Girls Club after school program for 6 months. We also have a former kindergarten teacher and a Sunday School teacher on staff. All our staff have at least 2 years of experience working with kids. We are all First Aid Certified and have Police checks on file. For more information about our team please click here.

Yes. We LOVE pictures and videos and we would love for you to share your experience with your family and friends. Feel free to take as many pictures and videos of your child, our staff and our facility. 

However, we ask that you be respectful of other children in the facility, and for privacy reasons, limit your photos to just those in your group. 

Tag us in your photos and we'll give you a $25 Glam Bucks Card to use towards your next appointment. Ask us how to take part in this promotion.

We run promotions from time to time. The best way to be notified about our promotions is to follow us on Instagram (@ggajax) and Facebook (Glama Gal Kids Spa Ajax), and sign up for our email newsletter on our website. 

We have our “$25 Glam Bucks” promotion running all the time. Here’s how it works:

**Please note, this coupon can only be used towards regular priced spa packages or parties from Monday to Thursday only. It cannot be combined with any other special offers or discounts. This is a one time use card and will become invalid once claimed. The card does not have an expiry date so be sure to keep it safe. 

Glama Gal gift cards are non-transferable and can only be used at the location they were purchased at.

We open based on appointments booked. So our hours vary from week to week. You can book a party or an appointment from Monday-Sunday between 10am-8pm. Based on bookings, our staff will be available.  

No. We highly recommend making an appointment. We need at least 24 hours notice for a booking so that we can ensure a staff member will be available to take your reservation. 

Yes. We provide an editable PDF invitation that can be customized with your party information. Physical copies are also available in-studio. These will be made available once your booking is processed.  

Yes, we sell our robes and we have a variety of customization options available (e.g. name, initials, logo etc.). Please call us at 905-239-4443 to discuss all the available options.

We love bringing our fun-tastic and creative party packages to your home or preferred event venue? We take care of all the details so that you can sit back, relax and have just as much fun as the kids.

All our in-studio party packages can be booked as off-site parties. Please browse through all the available themes on our website (under In Studio Party Packages), and then fill out the form here, letting us know your requirements. We will be in touch with you within 24-48 hours to provide a quote.

Yes, lots of boys visit our studio. We offer a variety of gender-neutral services and any of our packages can be customized for boys. If there is a package you like, and some of the activities need to be substituted to suit boys, we would be happy to do that for you. Please call us to discuss all the options. 

To reserve your spot for our in-studio or virtual services, we require full payment at the time of booking. If you would like to just pay a deposit and make the balance payment after the service is complete, please give us a call at 905-239-4443 and we can set this up for you over the phone. You will not be able to do this online as our website does not currently have this feature.

Flexible payment terms are only available for our in-studio services, as follows:

*In-studio parties: $100 deposit required

*In-studio spa services: $20 deposits  

Payment for virtual programs and all special events must be made in full at the time of booking.  

To reserve your spot, we require full payment at the time of booking.

You can change or cancel your booking for a full refund up to 7 days before your scheduled appointment. After the 7-day window has passed, your appointment can only be rescheduled, or you may opt-in for a store credit. Exceptions can be made if government mandated lockdowns are imposed.

Our store credits do not have an expiry date and can be used for absolutely anything (spa appointments, parties, events, camps, retail items etc.).

Please note that all our DIY kits are handmade. Each kit is made to order. This means your product is being made specifically for you! As such, our DIY kits are final sale.

If, for some reason, you are not happy with the items in your kit, please let us know as soon as you receive it and we will try our best to correct it.

For our regular retail items (from our retail shelves), we have a 30-day return policy. This mean you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, ALL items (whether it's a DIY kit or regular retail item) must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Over the phone we accept Visa or Mastercard.

We also accept e-transfers via email as a method of payment.

We do not offer haircuts or permanent hair colour as we are not trained in these services. The only hair services currently available are hair styles, hair glitter application and temporary hair chalk application.  

No. We do not offer massage services for adults OR kids.

No. Because we mainly focus on kids, we try to keep our facility as chemical free as possible. As such, we don’t offer any of the services you would find at a typical nail salon or spa. All of our nail and spa activities are curated for children and are done mainly using natural products and ingredients.

An Ice Cream manicure and pedicure, also referred to as a Dessert manicure and pedicure is a kid-friendly version of a manicure and pedicure. It is done using delicious dessert scented items and we serve ice cream as a treat to eat during the service. 

All the items used for this type of mani and pedi smell like dessert and leave the skin smelling delicious. Hands and feet are first soaked in a dessert scented bath bomb crumble which bubbles and fizzes in the water. We then exfoliate the hands and feet using a natural sugar scrub (our sugar scrubs are made with real sugar, soap sprinkles, body glitter, and have essential and mineral oils that will leave your skin feeling smooth and soft). Once the exfoliation is complete we dry the hands and feet, and do a massage with shimmer lotion. We then file the nails, remove any old nail polish and proceed to nail polish application. When applying nail polish, we do a base coat, polish and top coat. 

A mini manicure and pedicure is a service we offer for kids who are very young. It is a simplified version of our Ice Cream manicure and pedicure. The hands and feet are first sprayed using a glitter mist. We then do a shimmer lotion massage, before proceeding to nail polish application (base coat, polish, top coat). There is no soaking for hands and feet in this type of service, nor do we file nails. This is mainly recommended for kids who are very young. 

We truly believe that beauty comes from within. Our makeup services are child-friendly and include the application of mineral eyeshadow, lip gloss and face glitter. All our makeup is organic, mineral makeup, and we use only disposable applicators when applying it. 

Pixie glitter is a special skin-safe hypoallergenic body glitter made with an aloe vera base. It is safe to be used on the skin. At Glama Gals, we use it on the face and hair.

Yes. We have our own line of non-toxic, water based nail polish that we use on young kids who visit our spa studio. These are also available for purchase in our spa boutique. 

These nail polishes are odourless and VOC free (free of chemical solvents). They peel off with warm water, without the need for nail polish remover. They are not only free of toluene, formaldehyde, phthalate plasticizers (BDP etc) and alcohol, but they are also free of acetates and toxic preservatives such as parabens and methylisothiazolinone (Neolone 950). They are coloured with mineral pigments and natural colorants.

However, because these are water based, please keep in mid that they peel off very quickly. They will come off after one shower or bath. We do not recommend this line of nail polish for older kids.

If you want something changed in your appointment or birthday party package, we will do our best to work with you to make this happen. We can generally make minor substitutions/customizations at no extra charge. However, if you need something completely different in your package, or would like to fully customize a package, additional charges may apply. Please give us a call to discuss your requirements.

For example, if you book a package that has a package price for 8 guests, that would be 7 guests plus the birthday child, for a total of 8.

No. We like to give you as much time as possible to send out invitations and confirm final guest numbers. 

We require your final number of guests five day before your party. Once you book with us, we will contact you five days before your party to review all party details. Additional guests will be added to your booking at that time. Please have your final guest numbers confirmed by this time. If you have cancellations after this, you will still be required to pay for these guests. 

If you have less guests than what’s included in your party package, we will do an add on for you to compensate for the price. This will be discussed with you the week of your party once you have your final number of guests confirmed.  

If your birthday party or spa appointment includes a pedicure, we kindly request that you bring your own flip flops or sandals. You can then leave in your own flip flops, to gibe your toenails a longer time to dry. 

*IMPORTANT* Please check your child for warts before coming to our facility. If your child has a wart(s) please make us aware, so that our staff can take the necessary precautions.

During regular times, we offer robe service. We have white spa robes available for kids to wear over their clothes. HOWEVER, due to COVID-19 and based on recommendations from the Durham Region Health Department, we have temporarily paused robe service. You can bring your own robe to wear during services, if you wish. 

These are DIY creations where we guide children through creating their own perfume, lip balm, or lotion. These are included in some spas and party packages, but can also be added on to others for an additional fee.

Yes, however, because of capacity restrictions, we allow only two adults per party, unless specifically requested otherwise. If you have additional parents who want to stay, please let us know ahead of time and we will do our best to accommodate your request. But please keep in mind that capacity restrictions are in place to ensure we abide by the building fire code for maximum occupancy and also to make sure our staff has enough space to move around when conducting party activities.   

We welcome everyone and are committed to accommodating all guests at our two storey facility. While our bathroom is on our lower level, which must be accessed using our stairwell, there is a washroom at a neighbouring restaurant that is on the first floor, which customers are welcome to use.The restaurant operates with similar hours and is accessible by anyone.   

Loot bags are available for purchase as an add on to our party packages. They are an additional $12.00 per guest.

We have a loot bag wall with a wide variety of items for both girls and boys: Emoji keychains, Squishies, flip sequin slap bracelets, temporary metallic tattoos, hair accessories, jewellery etc.

Once loot bags are added to your party or appointment, kids can choose any three items from this wall. And it comes with a Glama Gal branded bag.

We sometimes run promotions where loot bags are offered FREE for a certain period of time. Please subscribe to our email list and follow us on Instagram (@ggajax) and Facebook (Glama Gal Kids Spa Ajax) to be notified of these promotions. 

Our in-studio party packages and spa appointments range from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the package you choose and the number of guests attending. 

Our party packages are set at 2 hours and there is an additional fee to extend this time. Please call us to discuss details. 

For spa packages, our system will automatically book you in for a specific time based on the package and number of guests selected. Once booked, we will call you to confirm the appropriate duration. 

We have a two storey facility. 

Typically our party size is 8-15 kids per group. You can also book one on one appointments and smaller groups with us.

Our facility has the capacity to go up to 40 kids at a time in one group (provided there are no COVID restrictions in place). If a group is this large, we would close off the entire facility to other guests so that you would have a whole space (upstairs and downstairs) to yourself. 

With COVID-19 restrictions in place, we can allow up to ten people within our facility, excluding our staff. This includes parents AND children. So, if your party has 8 kids, then only 2 parents would be allowed to stay. If there are 9 kids, then only one parent would be allowed to stay, due to current government mandated COVID-19 capacity restrictions in place. 

Yes! We do lots of one on one and small group appointments to celebrate special occasions or just because. For small groups, take a look at our In Studio Spa Packages page. On this page, you can book from one up to six guests. If you have more than 6 guests, we recommend booking one of our party packages to get a better price. 

Currently due to COVID-19 restrictions in place, we host only one party/appointment at a time. So, when you book with us, you have the entire studio space to yourself.

However, when COVID restrictions are lifted, there may be other smaller appointments going on in a separate room, at the same time as your party.  

Our virtual parties vary in length depending on the package you choose. They range from 1-1.5 hours. 

All our virtual parties are conducted on Zoom. You can access Zoom at www.zoom.us or download it from your phone/tablet app store. We provide a meeting ID and password which you can provide to your guests to join the party. If you need help accessing Zoom, please give us a call ahead of time and we will guide you through how to use the platform. It is simple and user friendly.  

Your host will start the session 15 minutes before the official start time. Please feel free to join the session early so that we can ensure a stable connection prior to the start of the party.

Each session includes a Glama Gal host who guides the session and leads the guests through the activities.

Feel free to turn on your video so we can all have fun together. You can ask your Glama Gal Host questions, talk to your friends, and have tons of fun creating something special. If we’re going too fast, tell us to slow down, or if we’re going too slow, tell us to speed up.   

Please note, our sessions are recorded for training and quality monitoring purposes. If you do not want to be recorded, we request that you please turn off your camera.

In addition to the activities outlined in your party package, our virtual birthday parties also include a virtual cheers, an inspirational birthday game, and singing happy birthday.

Yes! We provide all the required supplies for virtual parties. These supplies are individually packed in a box for each guest. The boxes are available for in-store/curbside pickup or delivery. 

For some packages, additional items such as a bowl of water, scissors, a hot glue gun etc. may be needed from home. Detailed party instructions with a list of items needed from home will be set to you with your confirmation email.

Our party packages are priced for a specified number of guests as mentioned in the package description. For this price, each guest receives an individually packed party box with their own supplies. To ensure a great party experience, we highly recommend that each guest have their own supplies. This will allow them to take part in all the activities with their friends, without feeling left out. 

However, if a sibling wants to participate by sharing supplies, although we don’t recommend it, they are welcome to do so. You will not be charged extra guest fees for this. You will only be charged extra guest fees if additional party kits are required. 

Our virtual party packages range from 1-1.5 hours depending on the package you choose. There is an additional fee to extend this time. Please call us to discuss details.

When you book a birthday party with us, you have the option to select your party package with or without food. There is an additional fee for food, which is mentioned on the booking page.

If you select a party package with food, it includes the following options:

- Cheese pizza, juice, cupcakes and ice cream (other types of pizza available for an additional fee)

OR

- Belgian waffles (served warm with maple syrup, chocolate sauce, whipped cream and sprinkles), juice, cupcakes and ice cream   

Food is always served during the first 30 minutes of the party. If you are doing food service through us, we provide all the required items (e.g. plates, cups, napkins, cutlery etc.) and we do a beautiful table set up for you.  

Most of our individual spa packages also include cupcakes, ice cream or some other form of themed treat. 

Yes. You can bring in your own food as long as there are no nuts in the food items. If you are not doing food service through us, you will need to bring in your own plates, cups, napkins, cutlery and any other items required for food service. 

Please notify us if you would like to bring your own food and we will ensure that there is a party host available to help you serve your food. 

Food is always served during the first 30 minutes of the party. 

If you are doing food through us, you do not need to bring anything. We will provide everything you need. 

If you are bringing in your own food, you will need to bring in your own plates, cups, napkins, cutlery and any other items required for food service. 

Please let us know of any food allergies ahead of time and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements. However, please note that we cannot 100% guarantee that there are no traces of allergens in the food we serve. If our food services cannot accommodate the allergy to your satisfaction, there is also the option of bringing in your own food at no extra charge.

The cupcakes we serve during parties are certified “peanut free” but may contain traces of “tree nuts”. For those with peanut and tree nut allergies, we have School Safe Cupcakes available. These are peanut, tree nut and dairy free.

Glama Gal Kids Spa Ajax is NOT a certified nut free facility. We are a “nut aware facility”. This means that we take all possible efforts to make sure we do not bring nuts into our facility and that nuts are not used in the products we serve, but we CANNOT guarantee that there are no traces of nuts in the food items we serve. This is because we get supplies from stores that sell nuts. 

Glama Gal Kids Spa locations are one of the only licensed children's spas in all of Ontario. We operate out of a professional, business space, not out of a house. As such, we are regularly inspected by local government health departments, to ensure we are maintaining proper cleaning and sanitizing standards. And we’re proud to say that we’ve passed every single time over the last 14 years that we have been in business.

We take great pride in the measures we have in place to create a safe, kid friendly environment:

- We use hospital-grade disinfectants to clean our studio in between each appointment/party and work in conjunction with the Durham Region Health Department to ensure our studio meets their standards.

- The majority of what we use at Glama Gals, such as nail files, makeup applicators and combs are all disposable and one time use. And if it is not, it is cleaned using the right disinfectants.

- We do not cut nails or cuticles. We only file nails. This minimizes the risk of infections that can occur as a result of open cuts or wounds. 

- For all of our guests, we only deal with natural nails - we don't do Shellac or gel/acrylic nails. 

- We don't use any of the harsh chemicals like acetone that you typically find in other nail salons. As a result, when you walk through our doors you don't smell the harsh chemicals which usually greet you when you walk into a regular nail salon. 

- We will not provide services to guests with communicable diseases (i.e. lice and warts). 

- Visibly sick guests will be asked to come back when they are feeling better.

Like restaturans, we are a certified Dine Safe establishment, as certified by the Durham Region Health Department. This certifies that we have the proper processes in place and are trained to handle food safely in our establishment. We always have a certified food handler on-site during parties.    

We take lots of effort to make sure we maintain an environment that is safe for kids. This includes using high quality products for spa services. 

We use high quality nail polish brands like CND, Essie and Creative Play. Our makeup is organic, mineral makeup. 

We also have our own line of made in Canada, skin-safe, non-toxic products for use during services. This includes:

Glamspiration and Co. Non-Toxic Nail Polish - this is a non-toxic, water-based  nail polish, which is available for use during manicures and pedicures. It is also available for purchase in our retail boutique. This nail polish is non-toxic, odourless, and hypoallergenic. However, please note, because it is water-based, it peels off quickly and will come off in the shower or bath. It is recommended only for kids who are very young and those who put their fingers in their mouth. If your child would prefer a more long lasting nail polish, we recommend our  regular brands of nail polish.

Glamspiration and Co. Facial Masks - for facials, we exclusively use our own line of facial masks. These are made with 97.25% natural ingredients. This percentage reflects that of actual natural raw material used in the formulation. We have selected these fine active natural ingredients to assist in providing calming effects to different skin types. The ingredients include: Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Vitamin E, Japanese Green Tea, Grape Seed Oil, Palm Oil.

Please advise us of any pre-existing skin conditions or sensitivities prior to facial mask application.

Our face masks have been formulated with high quality fragrance notes and natural essential and carrier oils, which allows us to decrease the amount of fragrance by at least 50%, compared to traditional cosmetic products. Our ingredients are safe to use on even young children. For skin that tends to be sensitive we recommend always doing a patch test first!

You will see us working hard to clean spa equipment and high touch surfaces at regular intervals using anti-bacterial cleaning products. The majority of what we use at Glama Gals, such as nail files, makeup applicators and combs are all disposable and one time use. And if it is not, it is cleaned using hospital grade disinfectants. 

Yes. This is something we take great pride in. All Glama Gal locations are licensed businesses, operating in a professional, business space; not out of a house. As such, we are regularly inspected by local government health departments, to ensure we are maintaining proper cleaning and sanitizing standards. 

Glama Gal Ajax has been in business for over 10 years and we’re proud to say that each year, we’ve passed our annual inspection by the Durham Region Health Department with flying colours. All our health and safety certifications are displayed on our front window.
